KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A 43-year-old man from Kennewick died over the weekend in Garrison, North Dakota.
The Highway Patrol in McLean county says Don Coleman was driving a sport utility vehicle on a county road when it went in the ditch and overturned shortly after 1:00 a.m. Sunday.
Coleman was an iron worker from Finley. He was in North Dakota working. Family members say after the autopsy, his body may be cremated before it's brought back to Washington.
"He was a good guy, he had done so many things in the last 2 years, that I'm so proud of, and I respect him so much more now," said Dalene Coleman, one of Don Coleman's daughters.
His daughter Dalene says this was very unexpected for the family.
Authorities say three passengers in the SUV, from Oregon, Minnesota and Wisconsin, were able to get out of the vehicle and were not hurt.
Coleman had to be rescued, and was pronounced dead at a Garrison Hospital about two hours after the crash.
