KENNEWICK, Wash.-- More Washington drivers hit the road this Memorial Day weekend. The Department of Transportation says the preliminary car count points to a 10% increase from 2008.
WSDOT staff say nearly 200,000 people drove over Snoqualmie Pass between Friday and Monday. If you were one of them, you may remember more than 20-miles of stop and go traffic. The warm, sunny weather and lower gas prices were factors in the increased use of the roads.
