Authorities Start Removing Hundreds of Dogs From Kennewick Home

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Humane Society, Benton County Sheriff's Deputies and other animal rescues organizations are starting to remove about 300 dogs from a Kennewick woman's home.

About two weeks ago, deputies found hundreds of dogs at Ella Stewart's house, living in what some call "deplorable conditions." She lives on the 500 block of East 27th Ave. in Kennewick.

Authorities are taking the dogs out one by one, giving them veterinary check ups, identifying the animals and checking them into the Benton County Fairgrounds where they will be staying temporarily.
