Bus Helping People Pay for Prescriptions Rolled through Pasco
PASCO, Wash.-- Prescription drugs can be costly, but many people also can't afford to go without them. Many Tri-Citans who need help paying for prescriptions got help on a bus that rolled through Pasco Monday.
It's called the "Help is Here Express." It was at the Miramar Health Center and was open to anyone who needed help paying for their prescriptions. All you had to do was bring a list of what medications you're on, and a someone would go through a list of questions, and see if you qualified for free or reduced drugs.
A Pasco man went there with a very expensive prescription, and now will get it free. William Evangelo explains, "One prescription is $160 a month for 30 pills, and the way it's fixed here, I'll be able to get it for free."
The bus is sponsored by the Partnership for Prescription Assistance.
