Fever Missing Three Key Players Saturday at Stockton

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Fever receivers Tremayne Kirkland and Chris Hemphill are injured and will miss Tri-Cities' game at Stockton Saturday night.
Plus, their best defensive player from earlier this year, Ben Alexander, has been trying out for CFL teams the past two weeks, and has virtually left the team. He was supposed to call the Fever earlier in the week and tell them his plans, and he never called.
"Not sure," said Coach Pat O'Hara when asked about Alexander's status with the team. "I haven't heard from him. Last I heard he was trying to get into the CFL but he is not on a CFL team. I haven't heard from him, so maybe we'll get him back sometime in the season."
The last time the Fever played Stockton, Alexander was the league's player of the week and the Fever picked up their only win of the season, 43-42. Tri-Cities is 1-8. The Lightning are 3-6.
