Picnic for Health Care Reform in Richland

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash-- Across the country many Americans concerned about health care had picnics to talk about their ideas for the future.

In Richland, the chapter of Organizing for America had a health care kickoff potluck at one of their leader's homes.

People of all different political beliefs came together to talk about changes they want made in our health care system.

The host says it's the best way to get people talking about health care issues.

"The fact that we have a small group here and other have one, and we are coordinating it allows us to really get the message out to a broader number of people," said Chuck Eaton.

This meeting was one of thousands in all 50 states. The Richland group hopes to have a community health awareness event June 27th.
