LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Friends and family of the only Americans on the Air France jet that crashed in the Atlantic Ocean last Sunday remembered geologist Michael Harris and his wife, Anne Harris, today at a memorial service in Lafayette, La.
Anne Harris was born in Lafayette. Her husband was born in Greenville, S.C., and they had lived in Lafayette before moving to Houston and then Brazil.
Searchers sifted through debris from the doomed Air France jet today and recovered four more bodies near the spot where the Airbus A330 is believed to have gone down killing all 228 on board. Six bodies have been retrieved this weekend.
