Tri-Cities Charities Raise Money for the Cancer Center
TRI-CITIES-- Sunday is National Cancer Survivor Day. There are more than 12 million Americans who have won their fight with cancer, and many are celebrating life at events across the country.
In the Tri-Cities three charities raised money for our Cancer Center. KNDU talked to the head of the Northwest Desert Classic Rodeo.
He says they chose to raise money for the center because everyone on their rodeo board has had a family member affected by the disease.
"Cancer doesn't care about our economy. Cancer doesn't care if we are at war. Cancer doesn't care what our life situation is. There's no remorse, there's no quitting, it's a never ending battle," said Howard Larson.
Other cancer charity events were a motorcycle ride in Finley and a Bowl-A-Thon in Pasco.
