BURBANK, Wash.-- A fire burns more than 500 tons of hay in Burbank. The fire broke out around 6:30 Monday night at Grandview Farms off Humorist Road.
Firefighters say one and a half huge stacks of hay burned. Wind made the blaze hard to control, but crews were able to save two other stacks by keeping the hay wet and cool and moving the bales.
The hay is worth an estimated $150,000. Firefighters say it'll continue to burn for the next week. They warn the area will be smokey and to keep your windows closed if you're sensitive to it.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
