Ellensburg Police Arrest Man for Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend
ELLENSBURG, Wash. --- An Ellensburg man is in jail after an argument turned into a physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend.
Ellensburg police were called to the 2500 block of North Airport Road, where they said a woman had been arguing with her ex-boyfriend.
The woman told police she was able to drive away, but he ended up following her. In the police report, the suspect shot at her car window with a handgun, just missing the woman and a 1 year old child inside.
Detectives and the Anti-Crime Unit working on the case, were able to track down the suspect at a home in the 300 block of South Ruby Street.
Police arrested 29-year-old Eric Haggin from Ellensburg. Haggin faces several charges including 1st Degree Assault and Felony in Possession of a Firearm.
With two search warrants, officers were able to search inside the home where the suspect had been found, and recovered a 12-gauge shotgun.
The woman suffered minor injuries to her face during the initial argument.
