Yakima Chrysler Dealerships Officially Stop Selling New Inventory Tuesday
YAKIMA, Wash.- Tuesday was the deadline for Chrysler dealerships to sell off their new inventory. Dealership owners say only four cars were left.
A month ago, dealerships like Lee Peterson Jeep and Hahn Motor Chrysler were told they have until June 9th to sell their cars publicly. All cars left will be sold off to remaining Chrysler dealerships in the region. Employees from Hahn Motor Company say they've sold more Chrysler cars in the last three weeks than they've sold in six months.
Both Hahn Motors and Lee Peterson say now that Chrysler is out of the picture, they're looking for new opportunities.
"We're going to be able to utilize our strategies we had in Chrysler product in Mercedes, BMW and our quality used inventory," said Doug Hahn from Hahn Motor Company.
"We will be receiving another franchise from general motors and we're excited about that," said Lee Peterson from Lee Peterson Motors.
Both dealerships will continue to service Chrysler cars and sell used Chrysler inventory. They will also uphold any extended warranty they've sold. For the manufacturer's warranty, customers will have to go to the two remaining Chrysler dealerships in Ellensburg and Grandview.
