Cascade Natural Gas Moving Main Office to Tri-Cities
KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A big company is moving to the Tri-Cities. Cascade Natural Gas announced Wednesday it will move it's general office from Seattle to our area.
The company already has a small office here, but is moving their headquarters. Right now company leaders are picking a lot here where they'll build the new office. Mark Hanson, Spokesperson for Cascade Natural Gas, explained why they chose the Tri-Cities. He says, "We have a strong customer base there. It's a growing area, and it seems like a really good fit for our employees."
About 80 people will be in their new office. There's no word yet on how many jobs the move will create. Hanson explained that it all depends how many current employees stay with the company and relocate here. Jobs will also be created during construction of the building.
The Tri-City Development Council says this move will be great for the area and will stimulate the local economy. Cascade Natural Gas customers shouldn't see any change in their service. The new building should be completed in August 2010.
