Benton City Welcomes New Business

Posted: Updated:
Benton City, WA- A former Seattle company has moved to the area.

Benton city today welcomed the owner of Rippedsheets.com.

The company moved into its new building at the Port of Benton Business Park this week.

Rippedsheets.com makes labels for ink jet printers.

Company president Steve Hall says he made the move because the cost of real estate in Seattle is outrageously high, and the deal he got in Benton city was outrageously good.

"It's about 39 to 100 dollars per square foot, compared to a dollar seventy five to five dollars a square foot generally in the Tri-Cities," Hall says.

The  company grossed more than two million dollars in sales last year.

The Benton City plant has twelve employees on the payroll.
