SPOKANE, Wash. - Emergency crews are have successfully performed a technical rescue at the north end of the Post St. Bridge in downtown Spokane. Crews responded to the scene just before 2:00 Sunday afternoon and found an injured man who appeared to have fallen onto the rocks underneath the bridge.
Officer Tim Moses with the Spokane Police Department says it is unknown how the man ended up on the rocks, but it appears at this time he fell down the embankment on the underside of the bridge or from the concrete support beam underneath the bridge. Officer Moses described the man's injuries as serious.
After crews retrieved the man from underneath the bridge he was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
