Valentine's Performing Pigs at Mid Columbia Libraries

KENNEWICK, Wash - Local kids got a look today at someone who likes pizza even more than they do..and that's what they get when they perform a trick.

Valentine's Performing Pigs put on a show at Kennewick's Mid Columbia Library on Union today.

The event is part of Summer Reading Events sponsored by Friends of Mid-Columbia Libraries.

Jumping through hoops, dancing and pushing a lawnmower are just some of the stunts the pigs can do.

The oldest pig.. 17 year old Nellie has performed on Animal Planet, David Letterman and more.

But not all pigs are cut out for show biz. "So we choose a pig that looks at us all the time and that really has fun doing tricks cause you can't make a pig do anything. Their very stubborn so it has to want to do the trick and that's the key...a pig that enjoys being out here with the public." Says Owner and Trainer Priscilla Valentine.

Valentine's Performing Pigs can be seen tomorrow afternoon at Mid Columbia Library in Pasco and Friday morning at the Keewaydin branch.
