Fever Still Searching for Right Combination With 4 Games Left
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Fever have just 4 games left in the 2009 season and are still searching for the winning formula.
Saturday, it started bad and only got worse as the Spokane Shock went on a 42-0 run to start the game. The Fever didn't score their first points until their were 11 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
Shock starting quarterback Nick Davila was 15 for 18 for five scores before leaving at the end of the 1st half.
Fever Head Coach Pat O'Hara said being down 42-0 is unfamiliar territory for him.
"That's a first, O'Hara said. "I've never been in that situation before: very, very frustrating. It's frustrating for our players. They've been through hell this year. To their credit, they are still fighting. We are still working on finding the right combination. We are working towards that. We're running out of time here and it continues to be a work in progress, unfortunately."
