Two Lawsuits Filed Against Yakima Police Chief Granato for Retaliation
YAKIMA, Wash.- Two members of the Yakima Police Department filed lawsuits against Police Chief Sam Granato Tuesday.
Yakima Attorney Bill Pickett filed the lawsuits at the Yakima County Courthouse. Both lawsuits are for retaliation.
Captain Rod Light contends chief Granato retaliated against him for testifying in a prior claim. Officer Stacy Andrews says Granato retaliated after she filed a sexual harassment claim against him a few months ago.
The City of Yakima and City Manager Dick Zais are also listed as defendants in the lawsuit for aiding in retaliation.
