87-Thousand Dollars Raised For The ARC of Tri-Cities
RICHLAND, Wash -The ARC of Tri-Cities in Richland received a generous donation from community sponsors to help it build a new facility.
The ARC serves people of all ages with developmental disabilities
$87,000 was raised at this years annual charitable golf tournament held at Meadow Springs.
The ARCwill move into a new 14-thousand square foot building when the rest of the funds can be raised.
This years donations will go a long way to help.
"It was amazing for the golf tournament this year. Just amazing! ...Even though the economy is down, people, they were just supporting it because they know there's just this dire need." Says Cathy Preston of The ARC.
Construction will begin when the rest of the funds are raised.
They are still 8-hundred thousand dollars shy of the needed 3.6 million dollar cost of the new building. Which by the way will be all environmentally green.
