KENNEWICK, Wash - After news broke Thursday of Michael Jackson's death, sales of his albums took a big jump. Many online retailers say they are sold out Jackson CD's. Even stores locally are struggling to keep his music on the shelf.
Staff members at Hastings Book Store in Kennewick say they sold out this Friday morning. All they have left is a couple of books about the pop star.
"Right now we are down to basically one or two things in the store, but we have a rush coming from our corporate office to get us some products," says Hastings Inventory Manager Amanda Mowery.
Ten copies of Jackson's most popular albums are going to be delivered to the stores and they could arrive as early as Saturday.
