RICHLAND, Wash.-- If you're looking to buy or sell a house, this weekend is a great time to get out and shop around and ask questions.
It's the Washington State-Wide Open House. Thousands of homes and condos for sale opened their doors to potential buyers. Realtors say the point of today was to clear up some misconceptions that many people have about the housing market, and to make sure people know the market here is different than other parts of the country. Realtor Karen Kroner says, "We live in a bubble here, and our economy and our stability here is wonderful. It's just like when you're checking the weather, you need to check the weather for your local city and state."
The Open House continues Sunday.
You may remember Business Week named both Yakima and the Tri-Cities in the top ten best places in the country to start over.
