YAKIMA--A fight over two dollars ends with a 19-year-old man dead.
Police say Eriberto Lopez was shot and killed at an early-morning party on the 200 block of Butterfield Road in Yakima.
Witnesses told police a fight broke out after a group of people refused to pay the $2 fee to get into the party.
One of them pulled out a handgun and shot Lopez, then more shots were fired and another man was shot in the hand.
He's been treated and released from the hospital.
Officers said the people who refused to pay at the party claimed to be gang members, but it's not clear if the shooting was gang-related.
This is the twelfth homicide of 2009 in Yakima County. Police are continuing to investigate.
