PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) - Police in Port Angeles say they cornered a man wanted on a federal warrant, and then he emerged from the crawl space of a garage to surrender.
Brian Smith, deputy chief of the Port Angeles police, says the local police were told the man had been serving a sentence involving a homicide and had been released to a halfway house before he violated the terms of his release.
He identified the man as 37-year-old Leslie G. Wilson.
Smith says negotiators got a phone to Wilson on Saturday morning, he talked to family members, and then he came out.
Smith says Wilson was not armed.
