KENNEWICK, Wash.-- How can you protect your car when it gets into the 90s and 100s?
Staff at Jiffy Lube in Kennewick say to make sure you check your tire pressure, which changes when the temperature does. They say to make sure your car has enough coolant and anti-freeze. Gabriel Sandfill, Assistant Manager at Jiffy Lube, says a good way to remember to check is to do it when you get gas. He explains, "Just basically check periodically your oil, coolant, check your tires. Every time you fill up, just check them out, make sure they're full."
Sandfill also says to get your air conditioner checked out every other year. One other trick is to get your wiper blades wet, either when you wash your windshield or just pour some water on them, so they won't crack when they're hot and dry.
