HARRAH--A 20-year old Harrah man is dead after a DUI car accident.
Troopers from the Washington State Patro say it all started when a 15-year-old driver rolled a stolen car, then ran from the scene.
State troopers say 20-year-old Barrett Bettle was killed when the car he was riding in rolled several times this morning on Barkes Road.
Troopers were called to the scene around 8:30 this morning. They found Bettle dead and the driver missing.
Witnesses say he ran off into nearby cornfields. The car had been reported as stolen earlier this morning.
Troopers later caught the driver, who was a 15-year-old boy. Troopers believe he had been drinking.
He could be facing a slew of charges.
"[He might be facing charges of] leaving the scene of a collision, as well as vehicular homicide," Sgt. Ed McAvoy, Washington State Patrol, said. "[Driving a] stolen car you could go on and on, depending on if the driver knew the vehicle was stolen. There's still some things that we need to find out."
McAvoy wasn't sure if the driver had a learner's permit. He's not old enough to have a license.
State Patrol is not releasing the driver's name because he is under 18.
Troopers said Bettle was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver's was taken to Memorial Hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
