ELLENSBURG--Authorities are investigating a boating accident that caused an Ellensburg woman to lose part of her leg.
It happened Saturday afternoon in the Columbia River near Wanapum State Park.
Kittitas County deputies said seven people were in a ski boat pulling a water skier when they hit a series of waves and the boat flipped over.
20-year-old Alison McWeeny was thrown under the boat and suffered serious leg injuries.
No other major injuries were reported.
The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office is continuing their investigation.
