PASCO, Wash. - Imagine having nothing to do all day but go play baseball and get paid lots of money? Sounds pretty nice. Dust Devils third baseman Joe Sanders is loving that schedule. He was the Colorado Rockies fifth round pick out of Auburn earlier this year. He is already batting an impressive .327. He says he loves the fact that he no longer has to take college classes. I asked him what his favorite thing to do is besides baseball, and he said "Sleeping." So what time does he actually wake up each day? "I don't know if I want to be saying it, but 12," said Sanders. "I wake up around 11 or 12. Roll out of bed. I already missed breakfast so that's one meal I don't have to play for. Go to lunch come to the field and get prepared for the game." Sanders lives with a host family in Pasco along with teammates Jeremiah Sammy and Rod Scurry. "Its been good," he said. "I feel bad for Sammy because he gets the couch, but we flipped the coin, I won fair and square. So I get the bedroom."
