Kennewick, WA- The agencies that promote and sell the Tri-Cities to the rest of the world are approaching their first year sharing a new building.
Tourism and business development leaders today revealed some new artwork inside the lobby of the Business and Visitor Center.
The center opened last September, with tourism and economic development leaders working under the same roof.
Visitor and Convention Bureau Director Kris Watkins says being across the hall from TRIDEC pays off when TRIDEC is trying to convince companies to move to the Tri-Cities.
"That's where we come in, with the quality of life and the sense of place through the visitors and convention bureau. So there's a lot of synergy that takes place with the three agencies being under one roof."
Battelle donated eight-thousand dollars to commission three local artists to create pieces of art for the business and visitor center.
The artwork is on display in the foyer of the center located at 7130 West Grandridge Boulevard, next to the Three Rivers Convention Center.
