3,000 Acre Fire Near Echo, OR is Out

ECHO, Ore.--  More than 3,000 acres have burned near Echo, Oregon.  Umatilla County Emergency management staff say the fire started around 2:00 Monday afternoon on a farm near Rew Elevator.

Two out-buildings nearby burned, but otherwise no homes were damaged.  The fire was completely out by Tuesday.  Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the fire.

Three roads were closed because of the fire but are now back open.
