Special Screening of Harry Potter for a Special Cause
PASCO, Wash.-- As Harry Potter tears through theatres all across the country, it had one special showing in Pasco.
Earlier this morning, the Autism Society of Washington Tri-Cities chapter teamed up with Fairchild Cinemas for a free screening for families living with autism. One mother, whose son is autistic, says the film was a great learning tool.
"Kids with autism happen to be very much into media so they might be very avid harry potter fans but i think they'll emulate what they see." she said.
She also says it was great for the kids to socialize with one another... And for the parents to offer support and advice to one another.
