Blue Bridge Construction Continues to Not Water Dirt

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- In a developing story, we first told you about this earlier in the week, dust blowing from the blue bridge construction to a nearby trailer park, covering their homes and cars. The DOT had promised to water down the dirt every day, even on days when crews are not working. Today trucks were supposed to be out spraying the soil, but neighbors at the Clover Leaf trailer park say they are nowhere to be found.

"We haven't seen one water truck at all and im home most of the time and I see [them] when they come out here and I know the sound [the water trucks make]," said resident Janice Moore.

The DOT and their construction company KLB had been spraying the mounds of dirt during their work week, but not on weekends. Last sunday, dirt from the construction site covered the trailer park leaving residents outraged. The DOT could not be reached for comment tonight.
