SEATTLE (AP) - Police say a 37-year-old woman was stabbed to death and a 40-year-old woman was critically wounded at their house in West Seattle.
Officer Renee S. Witt says police went to the house shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday. They found one woman dead and other had run outside. Witt says the survivor was listed in critical condition with multiple cuts at Harborview Medical Center.
Based on a description given by the survivor, Witt says police are seeking a man in his 20s to early 30s, 5-foot-11 to 6 feet with a thin, muscular build and a thin mustache. Investigators believe he entered the house through an unlocked or open window, then attacked the women as they were sleeping.
