Kennewick, Wash.--  Jerrica Fowler was crowned Miss Tri-Cities 2009.

She was up against eleven other contestants in the pageant at Kennewick High School last night.

The girls had to compete in a variety of categories, including swimwear, interview, special talents and evening wear.

Fowler walked away with a crown and a ten thousand dollar scholarship, but says life is already getting back to normal.

"[I'm] receiving lots of text messages and phone calls and cleaning the house and i've already been put to work by my parents they're like, "everything is over. Go clean your room now" so it's right back to real life." she said.

There was one other lucky girl last night. Fifteen year old Samantha Brown was named Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen and was given a fifteen hundred dollar cash award. Up next for Fowler is the Miss Washington pagent and if see wins that, she will compete to be next year's Miss America.
