On Saturday, July, 18, 2009 investigators from the Pasco Police Department, King County Sheriffs Office, and King County Search and Rescue, conducted another search for Garcia's body in the Rainier National Forest outside of Enumclaw, Washington. Remains were found east of Enumclaw off of Highway 410.

The recovered remains are believed to be those of Tiairra Garcia; however positive identification will take some time to complete.
