Two Teens Arrested for Burglarizing Cars in Richland
RICHLAND, Wash. -- Richland police arrested two 16-year-old boys for burglarizing vehicles in north end of Richland early Wednesday morning.
The boys were caught when one of them was seen sitting in a car that belonged to the brother of the person who reported the incident. The boy tried to run but was caught and restrained until police arrived.
Police said the boys were rummaging through unlocked cars and taking small items and change. Some of the items were returned after one of the boys pointed out which cars they went through. The youths were released to their parents and the police reports will be reviewed by a prosecutor.
Police say the incident serves as a good reminder to keep your car locked overnight.
