Fever Update:"It looks promising"

Posted: Updated:
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Tri-Cities Fever General Manager Randy Schillinger says he has several local groups interested in buying the team and keeping it in the Tri-Cities. Wednesday, he told KNDU that it "looks promising." He also said he's not sure if the team would return to the AF2 next year. They are looking at the possibility of joining the Indoor Football League. Current owner Doug MacGregor, who is based in Austin, has said he'll fold the team if he can't find a local buyer by August. Tri-Cities plays it's last game of the year Saturday night at home against Central Valley. The 2-13 Fever lost to the Cyotes by 20 points back on May 2nd.
