Hydro's Limo DriverPosted: Updated:
KENNEWICK,Wash.--This weekend was not only busy for boat drivers and the pilots from the Hapo Community Credit Union Over-The-River Airshow, but also for one local man and his wife who drove them around in limos.
Gary and Karen Davis own Racing Limos of Tri-Cities which is the first and only racing-themed limousine service in the area.
On a typical weekend, you can find them shuttling people back and fourth from special events and concerts. However, this weekend was not about parties or even a night out on the town.
The couple used their business to shuttle the pilots that performed in the airshow back and fourth from their hotels and Bergstrom Aircraft to Columbia Park. Last year they had the chance to do the same thing for boat drivers, but this year was all about the pilots.
"We get the opportunity to transport the F-16 pilots the Yak 11 pilots, The B-25 pilots as well as the ground crews. What a remarkable experience it's been," said Gary.
After opening their business about a year and a half ago, they have used their services for many community events as a way to give back. The couple is already planning and hoping to team up with the Tri-Cities Water Follies for the Lamb Weston Columbia Cup 2010.
