Lower Than Expected Temperatures Kept People Cool In Yakima This Weekend
YAKIMA, Wash. - Many of the people trying to keep cool in the Yakima Valley this weekend enjoyed part of their Sunday at the farmer's market in downtown thanks to temperatures almost 20 degrees cooler than expected.
Alma Sturgis is a resident of Yakima and said she made the most of the weather because she know it would return to the triple digits in a few days.
"Next week it's going to be pretty warm," she said. "So I said, "no" I am gonna cancel this appointment to go because it's going to be pretty warm."
Others at the market were disappointed by some of this weekend weather, especially the clouds on Saturday. They say they would have come out even if it reached into the triple-digits.
