Deal Almost Done to Keep Fever in Kennewick and in AF2
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Tri-Cities Fever owner Doug MacGregor says he'll fold the team if he can't sell it to a local buyer by August. Thankfully it looks like that deal may be getting done just in the nick of time.
Thursday, General Manager Randy Schillinger said he reached an agreement with a large group of investors to not only buy the team, but keep it in town....and in the AF2. There had been talk about possible moving the team down to the Indoor Football League.
Schillinger told KNDU he's "95 percent" sure the deal will go through by the beginning of next week at the latest. If the deal is reached, coach Pat O'Hara is interested in staying with the team.
