KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Water is on the way. That's what Kennewick Irrigation District leaders are saying to all their customers.
Friday, Kennewick residents say the first glimmers, or rather trickles, of hope that all of the canals will soon be up and running. KID has turned on the pump stations, and water is slowly filling back up.
The first customers to get water back will be farmers who need the water for their crops. KID expects all customers to have water back by wednesday.
