All systems up and running for the Kennewick Irrigation District
KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Today, all KID customers regained irrigation water, nearly three days ahead of schedule.
They originally thought it would take until Tuesday or Wednesday to restore service. Last Monday there was a major leak in the main irrigation canal. Water restoration was further delayed after a leak in the Bureau of Reclamation canal. But crews took very quick action to bring water service back. Next up for KID is to interview and select a new permanent district manager.
That position needs to be filled so the district can try to secure funding for more maintenance and repairs.
