Yakima police are investigating a crash that had to close part of West Nob Hill Boulevard Monday morning between 10th and 7th Ave.
Around 7:45 a.m., police and the Yakima Fire Department were called out to the scene where a car hit a motorcycle. The accident happened at the intersection of Nob Hill and 9th Ave.
The driver of the motorcycle is being treated for serious injuries at Yakima Regional Hospital.
Zach Wurtz works at a local business near the intersection where the accident happened. He says the sound of this crash was much worse than most that he hears while on the job.
"I just heard the impact and as I looked I kind of saw the guy finish his rolling slash sliding over the thing, he had just kind of gone across the hood of the automobile there," he said.
The intersection reopened around noon on Monday. The cause of the crash is unknown right now.
