RICHLAND, Wash.-- The process to design a new bridge over the Yakima river in Richland is underway.
Construction on the planned bridge connecting the Bypass highway and Duportail St. with South Richland is slated to begin next year.
Now the Richland Public Works office is busy trying to apply for a federal TIGER grant to pay for the bulk of costs. They have just over a month to turn in the application.
The grant could be worth twenty five million dollars.
The city will know if they are approved by the end of the year.
