Cash for clunkers helps new car dealers; hurts others
KENNEWICK, Wash.-- The program requires the clunkers to be destroyed, and some businesses need those used cars. Used car dealers are seeing less inventories at auctions, which leads to higher overall used car prices.
Also of concern is the lack of car donations for charity. The benton franklin red cross says donations have slowed recently as a result of the c.a.r.s program.
