Yakima man hides multi-million dollar winning lottery ticket
YAKIMA, Wash. - A Yakima man hid a multi-million dollar winning lottery ticket in a backyard shed until he claimed the money Monday. Curtis Eldred of Yakima is now $3.4 million richer. The drawing was May 11th.
After he figured out he was the winner he only told his mother, then hid the ticket in a plastic bag under a floor mat in a small storage shed in his back yard.
During his silence he planned his retirement from heritage restaurant. Eldred took the pay out option and goes home with $1.24 million.
