KENNEWICK, Wash. - Congressman Doc Hastings spoke at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Tuesday.
He says he couldn't be happier over the level of discussion happening around the country in regards to health care reform.
He openly stated he is against a government run health care plan saying he believes it will not improve the delivery of health care to the American people, adding the last thing this country needs is to put the government between the the doctor and the patient.
"One thing is for sure, that if this bill does become law, you, the taxpayer will pay for it. Because the cost to implement this health care reform, is to raise taxes," said Representative Doc Hastings.
Hastings believes the U.S. currently has a good health care system, but people just need more options.
