KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Graffiti is an issue all over Kennewick, but apartment buildings by 10th Ave. and Olympia St. is ground zero for tagging.
Now Kennewick police has made a string of arrests, helped by neighbors who've had enough.
In the past two weeks, KPD has made three arrests of juvenilles caught tagging in the area. In all of the cases, citizens called 9-1-1 and helped police catch the teens in the act. Police say the arrests were only made because neighbors have stepped up.
Two of the arrests made did not result in any charges, but this tagging at the heatherstone apartments last week was so rampant, benton county prosecutors are charging the teen with felony malcious mischief.
