ZILLAH, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol says two people were killed and four injured in a collision near Zillah.
Troopers say a car driven by 22-year-old Pedro Mendez-Morales of Zillah ran a stop sign about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and collided with a van.
The crash killed Mendez-Morales and a passenger, 19-year-old Salvador Salgado-Mendoza of Zillah. Two other passengers in the car, the van driver and van passenger also were injured and taken to Yakima Regional hospital.
State troopers say alcohol was a factor in the crash.
