CWU cyclists biking for bucks

Posted: Updated:

ELLENSBURG--Six cyclists from Central Washington University take off on a 300-mile ride to raise money for their school.

Marji Morgan is the Dean of CWU's College of Arts and Humanities.

She and five other riders left Ellensburg Saturday.

They're driving to Twisp.  On Sunday they'll start biking back.

On the way they'll talk to grade school kids about college and hopefully raise some cash for CWU.

"We're going to be pedaling up two 4,000 foot mountain passes," Morgan said.  "It would help us do that pedaling if we had lots of sponsors."

Morgan and the rest of her group will be blogging about their progress on the six-day trip.

They hope to raise $15,000.
