Yakima Pizza Hut employees are assaulted while leaving work

YAKIMA, Wash.- A Pizza Hut manager was brutally assaulted while leaving work. Employees were closing up Pizza Hut after their shift ended, when two males showed up.

This happened at the Pizza Hut on 40th Avenue and Kern Road Thursday night. The two suspects approached the two men and woman and demanded they give them their money, wallets and car keys.

One suspect got aggressive with the manager but he fought back. Suspects then hit the manager on the head and face with the back of their guns. The manager received treatment at memorial hospital.

"They were walking to their vehicles when the suspects came up around 12:30 and assaulted them. That doesn't happen every day," said Captain Greg Copeland from the Yakima Police Department.

Officers say everyone has the right to defend them selves but to use good judgment.

Police are still looking for the two male suspects wearing ski masks. One was in a black hooded sweatshirt and the other in a white one. They were last seen driving north-bound in a tan colored SUV.

If you have any information on the suspects, contact Yakima Police.
