YAKIMA--Saturday night is your last chance of the year to cruise Yakima Avenue.
About 3,000 people took a spin during the first "Cruisin' the Ave" back in June.
Jar Arcand of Santiago's Gourmet Mexican Restaurant tells KNDO the event isn't just putting people on the Avenue, they're also flocking to his restaurant.
According to Arcand, that's a far cry from cruising a couple decades ago.
"Yakima used to have unlimited cruising," Arcand said. "That was very detrimental to businesses, so the new process of having it as a unique event is far better than what the old days were."
Santiago's is blocking off an area in front of the restaurant, so customers can watch the cars go by.
"Cruisin' the Ave" started at 6:00 p.m., but you can cruise Yakima Avenue until 10 p.m. Saturday.
